Department of Monitoring and Research Expeditions
Main activities are:
- Conducting comprehensive studies of the main elements of the hydrological regime.
- Improving methods for calculating the runoff and sedimentation of rivers and temporary streams under various global climate change conditions.
- Assessing the intensity of planar and gully scour when there is an anthropogenic impact: slope ploughing, deforestation, and construction of engineering facilities.
- Improving methods for sampling bottom sediments and laboratory analyzes.
- Carrying out research expeditions to the territories poorly studied in hydrological terms.
Field testing new hydrometeorological instruments.
